Baby Caleb

This summer we have been very busy getting to know the newest addition to our family Caleb Edward Hood. In his first three months of life, Baby Caleb has grown a lot and become very social.
He likes to keep Daddy company while he writes lesson plans and reads news.
He likes to watch the lights and animals and listen to the sounds on his Aquarium Swing and Bouncer and is entertained anew when the swing gets rotated sideways. (Thank heavens for Fisher Price!!!)
He likes to watch his sisters play. He kicks his feet in excitement when they show him their toys and play near him. They love him too and are quick to help give him his pacifier, tell mommy he's stinky or tell anyone "That's baby Caleb's toy."
He takes his hanging gym very seriously. Sometimes he likes to keep his toys swinging back and forth and other times he likes to hold them and make them rattle. He's even figured out how to pull them off a few times. The smiley face ball is his favorite so far.
He is used to a lot of sound. He is happier when he can hear music or a cartoon playing, a conversation near by, or someone having a turn to play their instrument or singing. He calms down very quickly when Daddy sings full voice.
He is pretty easy going unless he is hungry, tired or needs a diaper change; at which point he makes sure to let us know he is in urgent need of attention.
Like every newborn, he spends a lot of time eating and sleeping.
He is getting better at both and is close to sleeping through the night.
We are so grateful for our new son and brother and this beautiful summer we got to spend getting to know him!
